Release Date for Big Square Enix Game Has Been Leaked, is it Avengers or Final Fantasy VII?

Square Enix is going to have a huge E3 this year, with Marvel's Avengers getting showcased in the event and the Final Fantasy VII Remake possibly getting a release date. Since the event is so near, supposed leaks have been popping up everywhere for numerous games and the two big titles Square Enix are developing don't appear to be safe.

Thanks to an Amazon listing, we now know that one of their big games will be coming out on May 15, 2020. Usually, games with no release dates get vague ones, like December 31, 2019, but this is more specific than most. May 15 isn't just a random release date so this has to be one of the big Square Enix games.

It's hard to say if it will be Marvel's Avengers, formerly known as The Avengers Project, or the highly-anticipated Final Fantasy VII Remake. Both games will be featured in E3 this year and they are both expected to get release dates, especially after the company had a lackluster showing last year.

Final Fantasy VII Remake actually has some gameplay videos, so we know that it will be an action RPG now. That being said, it still seems to be following the original story, but with a few twists added here and there. On the other hand, we know nothing about Marvel's Avengers so let's hope that it looks promising.

Both games will be featured in Square Enix's E3 showcase next week.
