Rejected Animation Test For Cancelled Deadpool Cartoon Surfaces Online

FX's now-canceled Deadpool animated series has left many disappointed, including Donald Glover, who wrote several episodes for it. It looks like we'll never know how the series would have been like, though it looks like there would have been a heavy focus on pop culture if the supposedly controversial Taylor Swift episode was anything to go by.

Though we'll never know how the series would have looked like, animation studio Titmouse has released test footage for a proposed Deadpool series for the network. While it technically wasn't for the Donald Glover version, it did show potential and probably would have done well under Glover's guidance.

Posted on Reddit, the footage scene is impressive, though incomplete. The studio had to take voice clips from Ryan Reynold's Deadpool movie and the middle half of the footage isn't fully animated. Still, what is finished looks great and it would have been nice to see the character in animation.

We might not be getting an animated series but we are getting a film sequel. Deadpool 2 comes out on May 18.
