Director Ridley Scott just said that he's planning to make multiple sequels to Prometheus, and it turns out the title of the next one won't be Prometheus 2.

During a recent interview with Hey U Guys, Scott revealed that the official title for his upcoming sci-fi sequel to the 2012 Prometheus is Alien: Pardise Lost. So does that mean the sequel will reflect the themes of John Milton's epic poem Paradise Lost? I think it's a surprising title but it obiviously shows that the film is connected to the classic Alien franchise. Here's what the director said about the new title:

"Actually, it's going to be calledAlien: Paradise Lost, so Prometheus 2 isn't what it's really going to be. You know the poem? I doubt you've ever been through it, have you? The poem's a book,Paradise Lost! It sounds intellectual, but there's a similarity to it, and that's where it stops."

I think it's interesting how Scott is bringing similarities to Milton's literary masterpiece in his next pre-Alien film. This could also change the way people see the film and boost its marketing aspects as fans react more positively to films with the words "Alien" to it than the box office-failure, Prometheus. Scott went on to talk about where his next film and where the pre-Alien story arc is going:
