Star Wars Rebels is returning on January 20, and it's bringing a familiar face along for the ride.

The episode titled "A Princess on Lothal" will feature the show's introduction of the young Princess Leia Organa acting as an Imperial diplomat while secretly helping the Rebels crew.

"One of the complex challenges of depicting Leia in Rebels is that we have to remind the audience that she is part of the Empire at this point," says Rebels and Clone Wars creator Dave Filoni to Starwars.com. "She doesn't believe in the Empire, but she is acting the part, almost as a double agent. The Empire sees her as a privileged princess who runs mercy missions to wayward worlds, but in truth she is much stronger and more dangerous than they imagine."

Leia is voiced by Julie Dolan who also took on the role for Disney's Star Tours attraction as well as the Star Wars: Uprising mobile game. Leia isn't the first Original Trilogy character to appear in Rebels, she's preceded by Grand Moff Tarkin, Lando Calrissian, and Darth Vader.
