Many noticed that Prince Harry didn't have that much screen time on Netflix's The Crown, and it fueled the rumors that he had an "arranged deal" with the streaming giant, according to a report.

Prince Harry Has Very Few Appearances In The Crown?

The Crown had received intense backlash for the way it portrayed the British royal family, which was why many were surprised that Prince Harry decided to work with them. Its fifth season is already in full swing, and it chronicles the highs and lows of the royals in the 90s.

Kinsey Schofield, the host of the To Di For Daily podcast, noticed that Prince Harry was barely featured on the show that ran for 10 hours.

A young Prince Hary was played by child actor Teddy Hawley, and he appears in a select few scenes with Princess Diana (Elizabeth Debicki). Prince William is played by Senan West, the real son of actor Dominic West, who plays then-Prince Charles.

Prince Harry briefly appears in The Crown Season 4. He was introduced in the early years of King Charles and Princess Diana's marriage. He was played by Arran Tinker in episodes 9 and 10.

In the latest season, he was featured in the first episode during Princess Diana and King Charles' second honeymoon in Italy. However, after that, he was almost not visible.

"Harry is mysteriously gone. So I take back what I said about him having no control," Schofield commented, Express reported.

TalkTV presenter Cristo Foufas echoed the same sentiment, adding, "He gets a line in the first episode and then… Harry doesn't exist. She [Diana] could have just had one child because you don't see him."

Did Prince Harry Make A Deal With Netflix About The Crown?

Schofield and Foufas' comments about Prince Harry's limited appearance on The Crown came amid speculation that he made an "arranged deal" with Netflix.

The Crown was criticized for fictionalizing real-life events about the royal family. Prince Harry and Markle faced the same backlash for working with the streaming giant that produces their upcoming docuseries.

"I do wonder if one of the reasons that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle haven't taken a firm stand with Netflix by refusing to make their series is it didn't change that sort of approach towards The Crown," royal expert Jonathan Sacerdoti told Express.

"I wonder if it might be some sort of arranged deal, spoken or unspoken that they have that will see them left alone in the crown if they provide their version of their story."

Epicstream could not independently verify the claims about the Duke and Duchess of Sussex. So, one should the report with a grain of salt.
