Pre-Order Spider-Man: Homecoming And Get The Superior Spider-Man Costume For Marvel Vs Capcom: Infinite

Fans knew that deluxe costumes would be in Marvel vs Capcom: Infinite. A number of them have already been revealed, like Captain Marvel in her pilot clothes and a "warrior" version of Thor, which is similar to his look from Thor: Ragnarok. Now, the Superior Spider-Man costume has been revealed, and fans have two ways to get this outfit.

Those that plan on buying Spider-Man: Homecoming can pre-order the film on PSN or Xbox Live to get the costume. It's an interesting incentive to get fans to order the film on their consoles. Injustice 2 did something similar, giving fans extra Source Crystals for in-game purchases if they pre-ordered the digital version of Wonder Woman on their gaming system.

Gamers who don't plan on watching the film, or are set on getting a physical copy can just buy the costume for $3.99. Expect similar options for any other deluxe costumes for other fighters. The Superior Spider-Man outfit is fairly unique, having a red and black color palette and different lenses for the mask. It will be interesting to see if he has his Doctor Octopus-esque spider legs, though they probably won't add much to gameplay.

For those unaware, Superior Spider-Man had Otto Octavius aka Doctor Octopus in control of Peter Parker's body. Dedicating his life to be a better Spider-Man than Peter ever was, he proved to be a ruthless hero that was willing to kill, which made for some compelling stories. Peter eventually got his body back, but the events of the "Superior" era can still be felt today.

Marvel vs Capcom: Infinite is slated for a release next week, on September 19. Digital versions of Spider-Man: Homecoming will be available on September 26.
