It looks like Marvel fans can expect the Power Rangers to get a whole lot of other film adaptations after this year's Power Rangers.
The film's producer, Haim Saban has just announced today that the production has a "six-movie arc" based on how well the new Power Rangers film adaptation does on the big screen this year. In an interview with Variety, the producer also promises the best for fans, saying that they'll try to keep up with the audiences' sophisticated tastes.
"Today's young audience is much more sophisticated," Saban says. "Think about movies like ‘Jungle Book' and ‘Arrival.' The effects are mind-boggling. So does the young audience expect more? You bet they do — and they will have it
"The effects are only part of the movie," he says. "We also are developing likable characters. They don't take themselves too seriously, in terms of how they relate. I wanted the movie to say that losers or weirdos, by coming together, can realize the importance of the responsibility on their shoulders."
The film's screenwriter John Gatins also agrees that more fans are going to com ein because of the film's visuals.
"There's been a lot of response on social media from people in their late 20s, since we announced the film," Gatins says. "This is a part of their nostalgia. And, hopefully, today's kids, who haven't seen the Power Rangers before, will look at the ads and go, ‘Wow, that looks really cool.'"

Like Gatins and Saban says, this year's Power Rangers movie looks much more visual appealing compared to the graphics of the original series. Let's hope that they're right though that the film's updated aesthetic and design will help make the movie a success so that fan's can get that "six-movie arc" that Saban promised.
