Power Rangers And Zordon May Be Coming To SDCC 2016

The nostalgic monster-fighting group may gather together in San Diego Comic Con 2016.

If the new report ends up to be true, SDCC 2016 may see the Power Rangers in action—or at least in geek action—at the event. The SDCC unofficial blog caught wind of a radio interview featuring Becky Gomez, who stars as the Yellow Ranger in the movie.

Gomez confirmed that they will be at Comic-Con. She did not confirm whether or not the whole gang will appear. She also admitted that it will be her first Comic-Con ever.

According to the report, Bryan Cranston, who is slated to take on the role of the gang's mentor Zordon in Power Rangers, may also be present at Comic-Con this year, but Lionsgate hasn't offiically confirmed a panel at the event.

As a fan of Power Rangers—from when they looked like your colorful heroes in spandex tights and not Aliens-crossed-robots spawns in their new look—I'm hoping that there will be more news about the film. The most that Lionsgate has rolled out is the official photo of the costumes, seen above.

The movie stars Dacre Montgomery, RJ Cyler, Becky Gomez, Naomi Scott, and Ludi Lin. They will assume the roles of the Red Ranger, Blue Ranger, Yellow Ranger, Pink Ranger, and Black Ranger respectively. As mentioned, Cranston will also provide the voice for Zordon.

Power Rangers will be out in theaters on March 24, 2017.
