Pokemon Sun and Moon to Release Anime Series in November

Excited for Pokemon Sun and Moon? Well, that's not the only thing coming out in November.

Fans can also look forward to a new anime of the same title. This was announced via the latest Coro Coro Comics scans (via Anime News Network). As the title suggests, the Pokemon Sun and Moon game will be the inspiration for the new TV anime.

Like previous anime, such as Pokemon the Series: XY, the new anime will feature elements from the upcoming Nintendo 3Ds game. These include new Pokemon (which is a ton, considering what has already been revealed) and new characters (again, a lot of those).

Additionally, the lead character Satoshi (a.k.a. Ash) will be going back to school, and that in itself calls for a celebration, as you can see in the tweeted image below.

More than that, he will also be encountering Kapu Kokeko, the god who is in charge of protecting the Alola region. It's interesting to see how the new storyline will play out. There are certainly a lot of new ‘mons and characters, and even new ultimate beasts ahead, so whether those have roles in the story, we'll have to wait for the anime.

There's no definite air date yet for the Pokemon Sun and Moon anime series. However, Coro Coro has confirmed that it will premiere on TV Tokyo sometime in Japan. Since the anime is an offshoot of the game, it's important to take note that Pokemon Sun and Moon for the Nintendo 3DS will be out on Nov. 18 for Japan and America and Nov. 23 for Europe. So maybe we'll see the anime sometime by then in Japan.
