Pokemon Sun and Moon Combat System Unveiled

The Japanese television show Pokénchi revealed a new image from the highly-anticipated Pokémon Sun and Pokémon Moon, the latest video games featuring a new generation of Pokémon. This weekend, the Pokémon-centric gave us a glimpse of the game's combat system. Check out the image via comicbook:

The image shows Rowlet and Litten, with the fire-type cat unleashing the Ember technique on its enemy. It also shows Pokémon trailers in the background during the battle. This is something we've never seen in previous Pokémon games, so it's a nice touch to make the battles look more realistic.

You'll also see people watching the Pokémon battle. Some non-player characters (NPCs) appear like spectators throughout both games. Another feature that we notice is the platform on which the two Pokémon are standing. In the previous Pokémon games, the Pokémon would stand on a circular platform during the battles. But now that's completely removed --perhaps to make the battles more immersive.

Pokémon Sun and Pokémon Moon will be released on November 18 on the Nintendo 3DS.
