Pokemon Go Just Hit 65 Million Active Users; Niantic Promises "More to Come"

The hype of Pokemon Go may have slowed down since its release last year, but it's far from dead. Developer Niantic Labs just revealed a new milestone of the viral mobile game's achievements since its 2016 release.

Niantic also teased that there's "a lot more to come" for Pokemon Go, including "all new cooperative social gameplay experiences in Pokemon Go that will give Trainers new and exciting reasons to get back into the sunshine."

Earlier this year, Niantic added over 80 Pokemon from the Johto region to the game, which passed 650 million downloads.

The Pokemon Company recently launched a new gaming app called Pokemon Duels, which is a strategy game that you can play on your mobile device.
