Pokemon Go has just started to get back a few of its player back with the release of the 80 monsters in the Johto region for its Gen 2 update.
But with Pokemon Day coming up, developer Niantic Labs may have something in store for fans for the event. Over the official Pokemon website, the developer has teased fans to be on the lookout for something happening on Feb. 26 until the first week of March.
"Keep your eye out for a special Pikachu wearing a party hat to celebrate Pokemon Day!"
According to the developer, Pikachu will be leading the charge for the one-day event. It will start on Feb. 26 at 1 pm PST. The actual Pokemon Day event will also feature a few Pikachu parties, so make sure to keep your eyes peeled because the event will allow Trainers to catch Pikachu while wearing a party hat.
It's a nice thing to commemorate Pokemon Day with, since Pikachu remains to be he mascot of the franchise. The Pokemon Go event will last until March 6, 1 pm. If you're done for a few more festivities on Feb. 27, the actual day marks the release of the franchise from back in 1996.
