PlayStation 5 Details Will be Revealed on March 18

While most gamers are enjoying their PS4, Nintendo Switch, or, God forbid, Xbox One at home, many of us have been waiting for the next generation ever since reports of these consoles were revealed to the public. The PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X has been the topic of many a convo in recent months, though Microsoft seems to have beaten Sony a bit since they already revealed several details for their next-gen console. Not to be outdone, Sony announced that PS5 details would be revealed tomorrow.

On their official Twitter, they revealed that PS5 lead system architect Mark Cerny will go into a lot of detail on how this new system is going to change the future of gaming. If rumors of this console playing games from the PS1, PS2, and PS3 days are true then many of us are going to go ballistic with this new gaming system. As it stands, we'll have to wait till tomorrow to get some firm details.

Previous reports have claimed that the PS5 will be backward-compatible with PS4 games so this should be a relaxing thought to many owners of the current Sony PlayStation. The fact that it's home to so many quality exclusives is also a good thing, with titles like Marvel's Spider-Man and God of War likely to run marvelously on the PS5. We just can't wait.

Fans will be able to watch the announcement tomorrow on the PlayStation Blog. So, who isn't excited for this console?
