Peter Mayhew Reveals Star Wars Easter Egg Encouraging More Mark Hamill Teasers

Mark Hamill is having too much fun poking fun at Star Wars fans.

Most members of the Star Wars fandom are known to be exceptionally passionate when it comes anything related to the space opera series. A simple word or sentence dropped by a cast member is enough to spark a series of rumors about upcoming films. This fact isn't stopping Mark Hamill from teasing fans though.

The past weeks has seen the 64-year-old actor going on a merciless series of tweets that tease fans about potential clues and spoilers for Episode VIII.

There was his tweet about the parentage of Daisy Ridley's Rey after the 23-year-old actress shut down a body shamerin the best possible way:

After that came his cryptic trolling during John Boyega's birthday:

Obviously, this last one is all for fun. However, his latest tweet is rather hard to take lightly.

Chewbacca actor Peter Mayhew recently tweeted another set of pages from the script of the original Star Wars, showing the scene where Han Solo and Luke Skywalker steals some Stormtrooper uniforms to save Princess Leia.

The original script reads how a Stormtrooper Luke tells a guard that he's about to transfer pretend prisoner Chewie from "block TS–138." However, in Star Wars Episode IV: A New Hope, Hamill changed 138 to "cell block 1138." This particular change is significant because director George Lucas' first film is titled THX 1138.

Observant fans might have noticed how the number 1138 has popped up in virtually every Lucas film. While those 1138 references have been placed on those films by George Lucas himself, the 1138 reference in A New Hope has been because of Mark Hamill all along, according to Mayhew.

Well, Hamill took this opportunity to tease fans that maybe his earlier tweets may not have been just pranks after all:

Is this to be believed? We have no idea. Nothing's ever sure with Mark Hamill's tweets. Hopefully, Luke Skywalker will be given more screen time in Episode VIII than The Force Awakens so he won't have too much free time on his hands to mercilessly tease fans.
