Patty Jenkins Getting Amazon-Sized Raise For Wonder Woman 2

It looks like Warner Brothers is giving Patty Jenkins a huge pay increase for her work in Wonder Woman 2.

Last year when Jenkins signed on to return and direct the sequel of her massively successful Wonder Woman (Gal Gadot) standalone movie, word had it that the director would be getting a major salary increase. According to reports during that time, the Wonder Woman director would be receiving a payday around $7 to $9 million for working on Wonder Woman 2.

Now, thanks to a report by Variety we can confirm that Jenkins would officially be receiving $9 million after working on Wonder Woman 2. That's nearly triple the amount she received for directing the first Wonder Woman movie, but then again it's a raise that Jenkins definitely deserves.

Wonder Woman was a commercial and critical success – a step in the right direction for Warner Brother's burgeoning superhero franchise, the DC Extended Universe. Aside from receiving positive reviews from both fans and critics, the film did pretty well at the box office. Wonder Woman earned $412.6 million at the domestic box office and then $821.8 million around the globe. Even after Justice League, Jenkin's Wonder Woman remains one of the top earners of the DCEU's films.

Wonder Woman 2 will begin filming later this year. The sequel is set to premiere on November 1, 2019.
