Ever since Activision announced the Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy, fans have wanted to see Spyro the Dragon get the same HD treatment as his former rival. Numerous reports have been claiming that an HD trilogy based on the character was on the way but after one of them turned out to be false, fans started losing faith.
Until recently that is.

IGN received a mysterious package that contained a scaly, purple egg from "Falcon McBob." The name has been synonymous with Spyro since McBob's Twitter handle is @SpyrotheDragon. While this could be an elaborate prank, a user from Reddit has confirmed that the package comes from Activision.
With E3 and the PlayStation Experience right around the corner, it would be fitting to announce the game on one of those shows. Spyro did start out as one of PlayStation's original mascots after all, so expect his HD trilogy to be a temporary PS4 exclusive, ala the N. Sane Trilogy.
