'Overwatch: Origins Edition' Confirmed for Console Release

The internet is abuzz with news from BlizzCon 2015, the conference that Blizzard puts on every year. One of the announcements from the stage was about Overwatch, the studio's anticipated foray into the realm of sci-fi first-person shooters. Blizzard confirmed that Origins Edition will be released for PC, PS4, and Xbox One in the spring of 2016.

While the standard version of Overwatch will cost $39.99, the Origins Edition will cost an extra $20. In the pricier edition, you'll get extra content such as character skins, and cosmetic items for other Blizzard games, including World of Warcraft and Diablo 3. I've got no problem with this, since $59.99 is typically what console gamers have to pay for new games anyway.

From what I've seen so far, Overwatch looks pretty awesome. Each playable hero seems to have unique mechanics and strengths, and the aesthetic is very smooth and stylish, much like Blizzard's other games. I'm really looking forward to trying out Overwatch next spring!
