One Punch Man Will Get Drama CDs Before Season 2

One of the biggest parody-comedy-action animes, One Punch Man, is still lacking a concrete announcement for a follow-up season. While fans have been clamoring to see more of Saitama and the rest of the heroes in One Punch Man (preferably from Madhouse Studios), Bandai Visual is not letting fans' interest go to waste.

Four drama CDs will be released this September, Comicbook.com reported. And if you're a fan of Furukawa Makoto, the seiyuu behind our beloved Egghead (which I am), then this is a great chance to at least hear him bring the character to life.

So far, three characters have been confirmed, including Saitama, Genos, and Speed-o'-Sound Sonic. The fourth one is still pending, but crossing my fingers that it will be Miyano Mamoru (Amai Mask).

According to the report, the audio volume will have two new episodes, a project that involved ONE, the series creator. The volumes will also include an episode from the bonus manga, though the specific stories involved have not been specified.

Based on the details of the first volume, it will include a bonus chapter, a parallel school drama, cast talk for 10 minutes, and two image songs per character. All in all, each volume is expected to be at around 40 minutes each.

The release date for the four volumes of the One Punch Man drama CDs have been confirmed. Saitama's will be released on Sept. 27 and Genos's will be out on Dec. 20 for this year. Speed-o'-Sound Sonic will be out on March 21, 2018 while the last volume will arrive on June 20, 2018.
