As we enter the latter half of January, hype is starting to die down for Star Wars: The Last Jedi, which means Lucasfilm can start peddling their upcoming movie, Solo: A Star Wars Story. We have yet to get a trailer for the movie, but at least we now have an official synopsis for the film.
Check it out:
Board the Millennium Falcon and journey to a galaxy far, far away in Solo: A Star Wars Story, an all-new adventure with the most beloved scoundrel in the galaxy. Through a series of daring escapades deep within a dark and dangerous criminal underworld, Han Solo meets his mighty future co-pilot Chewbacca and encounters the notorious gambler Lando Calrissian, in a journey that will set the course of one of the Star Wars saga's most unlikely heroes.
Though it doesn't reveal any new plot details for the movie, at least we get some concrete marketing material that fans have been clamoring for. It's only a matter of time before we get some official stills and finally a first trailer.
With the movie releasing in a few months, a lot of fans are worried that the lack of a trailer is signifying that Solo is turning out to be a terrible film. After all, the same thing happened for Josh Trank's Fantastic Four film. I just opt to stay positive, and consider that Lucasfilm is trying to carefully market the movie while not disturbing the release of The Last Jedi.
Fingers crossed, we get the trailer before January ends.
Solo: A Star Wars Story is set to come out May 25.
