Nike's Back to the Future-Inspired Power Lacing Shoes Revealed


Remember Back to the Future 2's futuristic shoe with power laces that was introduced back in 1989? 27 years later, Nike actually turned that concept into realithy. It's called HyperAdapt 1.0, and it includes power laces!

Wired has released a video and several photos of the shoe. In the video, Nike's Tinker Hatfield and Tiffany Beers explain how their power-lacing shoe, and they show us how to charge the sneakers, and tighten and loosen the laces with the touch of a button.

The shoes also have lights that indicate the battery life, and a magnetic dock to charge them. Who wants a pair? Check it out:
