Nick Fury will be Digitally De-Aged the Entire Run of Captain Marvel

With Ant-Man and the Wasp out of the way, the MCU only has Captain Marvel awaiting release before Avengers 4. The movie is set to have an appearance from Samuel L. Jackson as Nick Fury, and we find out that he'll be spending the whole film digitally de-aged.

Marvel head Kevin Feige told /Film:

"Well, I think having the option is pretty amazing. And I think having the technology and even without spoiling anything, Sam Jackson is shooting a movie for us right now that takes, where he's entirely 25 years younger the whole movie."

We don't know where exactly Fury will be in his career when Captain Marvel starts, but we assume that he will be a SHIELD desk jockey. We know that Fury will have two functional eyes this time, and we are also set to have an appearance from Clark Gregg a.k.a. Phil Coulson.

After the teaser in Infinity War, a lot of people are curious why exactly Nick Fury sat on his pager for Captain Marvel, even when aliens were already visibly invading Earth. My guess is he only recently had contact with her, or that he has seen bigger threats and thought that an alien invasion wasn't even enough for it.

Catch Captain Marvel in theaters March 8, 2019.
