New Thor: Ragnarok Appearance Confirmed For Sam Neill

At this point, we only know bits and pieces of what Thor: Ragnarok holds for the heroes involved. We've seen hints that The Hulk will be there in some form and way.

We also know that some familiar faces—two of the Warriors Three—have been sighted in filming location Australia. There's also that teaser from the man himself, Tom Hiddleston, who will be donning his green Asgardian costume and slicked-back hair as Loki. Finally sighted alive and well (though perhaps not mentally) is Father Odin, perhaps in the human world, given his get-up.

But this is the most that we know so far of what's happening in Thor: Ragnarok. And while this new bit of info isn't telling much by way of the storyline, it does hint at a possibly recognizable role.

According to MCU Exchange, Jurassic Park's Sam Neill has joined the cast of Thor: Ragnarok, though probably only for a short role.

"Oddly enough, I'm not really allowed to say this, and I can't tell you what it is… I did a couple of days on Thor, just before I came over here."

Based on how he described Marvel's Secret Agents as lethal (we sense a half-joke on that one), Neill didn't reveal anything more about the role. Any guesses on what his role could be?

For now, let's savor this moment of Chris Hemsworth showing off his muscles, ready to wield the Mjolnir in this nice little Instagram sneak peek. He doesn't have his Thor costume on though.

Thor: Ragnarok will be out in theaters on Nov. 3, 2017.
