New Teaser Trailer For HBO's Westworld Will Make You Wonder What The Hell is Going On

Before Sunday night's episode of Game of Thrones, HBO debuted a new trailer for Westworld, and if you're not familiar with its source material, Michael Crichton's 1973 novel of the same title, then you'd probably wonder what the hell is going on. The story, described as "a dark odyssey about the dawn of artificial consciousness and the future of sin", is set in a theme park called Westworld, where robots are part of an elaborate recreation of the old westland. As the trailer shows, there seems to be a lot of dangerous secrets in its strange setting.

The show was created by Jonathan Nolan (The Dark Knight) and Lisa Joy (Pushing Daisies), and executive produced by J.J. Abrams.

No exact release date has been announced for the show yet, but HBO said that the show will debut in October.

Westworld's stellar cast includes Anthony Hopkins, Jeffrey Wright, James Marsden, Evan Rachel Wood, Thandie Newton, Shannon Woodward, Jimmi Simpson, Rodrigo Santoro, Ben Barnes, Clifton Collins Jr. and Ed Harris.
