There have been a lot of Star Wars fans wondering whether Rey (Daisy Ridley) might turn to the Dark Side after Lucasfilm dropped the very first trailer for The Last Jedi, and now it seems like the studio's feeding the fire with a surprising new TV spot.

While the new promo video features footage taken from older previews of The Force Awakens sequel, the ending of the brand new TV spot comes with a whopping surprise.

The moment Snoke's voice-over plays the words "Fulfill…your…destiny," the Star Wars logo flashes across the screen and when it leaves, fans get to hear the sound of a lightsaber coming to life.

A few seconds after we get to see Rey holding out her arm – but it isn't Luke's (Mark Hamill) that's flying in her direction.

It's Kylo Ren's (Adam Driver).

Though Rey seems ready to use the custom lightsaber against Snoke's Praetorian Guards, what in the world is she doing using Kylo Ren's lightsaber? Why doesn't she have Luke's saber with her? Could she and Kylo Ren have reached some sort of understanding?

There have also been theories suggesting that Rey might actually bring Ren to the light instead of turning to the Dark Side. So far Ridley's only confirmed that Rey's going to see Ren a bit more differently in The Last Jedi, so we're not really sure which it's going to be. We'll just have to wait and see.

Star Wars: The Last Jedi hits cinemas December 15, 2017.
