New Star Wars: Episode VIII “Leak” Reveals Rey’s True Origins & Link to the Jedi and the Force

Warning: This Article Contains Potential Spoilers For Star Wars: Episode VIII. Read At Your Own Risk.

Ever since fans saw Star Wars: The Force Awakens, there have been a lot of speculations and rumors regarding the origins of its lead heroine, Rey. From the possible to the most ridiculous theories, it seems that fans have thought it out.

Popular and reasonable theories over recent months include Rey being Luke's daughter, Obi-Wan Kenobi's daughter, Jyn Erso's daughter, Han and Leia's daughter, or even the daughter of no famous character in particular. Meanwhile, wilder theories claim Rey as the reincarnation of Anakin Skywalker, Rey as a descendant of Palpatine, and my personal favorite crazy theory, Rey as the daughter of an incestuous relationship between Luke and Leia.

Late last month, there was also a theory based on the Shattered Empire comics, allegedly revealing Rey's real parents and her connection to Poe Dameron.

Well, when you think you have heard all the possible theories out there, in comes this alleged "leak" of the plot of Episode VIII explaining Rey's ever cryptic origin that is once again linked to a Force-sensitive tree.

According to Star Wars fan Stormtrooper Larry, via Reddit, there's an interaction between Daisy Ridley's Rey and Mark Hamill's Luke Skywalker in Episode VIII. Apparently, Luke told Rey all about the origins of the Jedi during her training.

As the Jedi origin story goes, it all began with two children living with their parents in a deserted planet. These children develop amazing powers because they lived near a bizarre and ancient tree with Force powers. Eventually, the boy kills the girl and is seduced to the Dark Side. However, the girl survives becayse of the tree. She founds the Jedi order and vows to one day return to... "[redacted]," says the leak unfortunately.

Well, we can probably assume that this girl is Rey who is, as Qui-Gon Jinn said, "the [resurrected] One" who will bring balance to the Force, who was first thought to be Anakin Skywalker.

Read it for yourself below:

If this is true, then obviously Luke isn't Rey's father.

As proof to this "leak," there has been a bizarre tree being built at Longcross Studios for Luke's Jedi Temple sequences:

I must admit I can be convinced of theories quite easily once a lot of explanation is given. They are theories after all and anything can happen in the Star Wars Universe, and this "leak" happens to be one of Rey's origins that I can believe. Although, if this is true, I unfortunately have been spoiled of Episode VIII. Oh well, I'm still going to watch the film, no matter how much I've been spoiled.

Do you think this is possible?
