Elizabeth Banks has morphed into her Rita Repulsa costume to shoot a scene for the new Power Rangers movie. The Pitch Perfect star was spotted on Monday at the film's set in Richmond, Canada donning her emerald and spiky villain costume.
The 42-year-old actress was seen slowly walking on the pavement of the streets of Angel Grove, California, the fictional town of the Power Rangers. Parts of the scene had been released via Instagram, showing people quickly getting out of the villain's path.

Aside from Banks, Power Rangersalso stars Becky G, Ludi Lin, Dacre Montgomery, Naomi Scott, and RJ Cyler. The film will be directed by Dean Israelite from a script written by Ashley Miller and Zack Stentz.
From the looks of it, Banks' portrayal of the iconic villain is one of the performances to watch out for in the film.
Saban's Power Rangersis slated for release on January 13, 2017.
