New Photos from Star Wars: Episode VIII Dubrovnik Set

It's only a few days before Star Wars: Episode VIII filming begins in Dubrovnik, Croatia. Earlier this week, we shared updates of the set having drone bodyguards, photos of tents being set up, and a first look of the set. Now, new images and a video have popped up showing the crew working on the set and a finished product of what they were working on.

Images of the completed set were shared via Instagram by jimmerkelthethird.

Take a look:

You'll notice how they've quickly added all the details in new wall panels and what seems to be a door that certainly look Star Wars-y.

Meanwhile, here's other photos and a video from Croatia Week and Star Wars News Net of the historical city being modified:

These are some support tents set up in two of the filming locations – Old City Port and Trg Oruzja Square:

The next questions now are, which of the cast will we be seeing on the set and what planet is it they're using Croatia for? It's likely that it's Luke Skywalker's planet Ahch-To in Star Wars: The Force Awakens.

Dubrovnik City had also been used as the location for King's Landing in the hit HBO series, Game of Thrones.

Star Wars: Episode VIII filming will run in Dubrovnik, Croatia from March 9 to March 16. The movie will hit theaters on December 17, 2017.

Expect more photos in the coming days since the filming location is a public place.
