Logan's official Instagram account "wponx" released another image from the third solo Wolverine film and Hugh Jackman's last. It shows Wolverine standing over a dead body in the front yard of a suburban house, which might be the same home we see Logan, Xavier, and the young X-23, spending time in the first trailer. It's speculated that at some point, they would be attacked by Donald Pierce's Reavers soldiers. This could be the aftermath of the battle, so if you don't want to know the possible major spoilers, here's a friendly SPOILER ALERT!

In the Logan trailer, we saw Logan looking bloody with a shovel, and Laura, a.k.a. X-23 is with him, and they're seemingly burying someone. That person is most likely Charles Xavier, who died in the aftermath of that attack on their safe house. Comicbook.com offers explanation about this spoiler:

The sequence (as we see it) is that Logan, Xavier and X-23 hide out at that woodland home, are attacked, and Xavier uses one massive push of his powers to save them, sacrificing himself in the process. It would be the sort of fitting heroic death Patrick Stewart's Xavier deserves, as it would inspire Logan to save X-23 and lead new mutants the way Xavier himself did.

That makes sense, but I think there's more to it than that, so take that as a grain of salt for now as nothing has been officially confirmed yet. Maybe the next trailer will provide more hints about that scene.

Logan takes place in the year 2024...Old Man Logan is in full effect. Logan looks bad, and drinks a lot. For work, he drives a 2024 Chrysler 300 limo that looks modified in the front to look more futuristic. He's sick, his powers are fading, and he heals much more slowly — and sometimes not at all.

Logan will be released in theaters on March 3, 2017.
