New Indestructible Mana Filter Land in Amonkhet Is a Game Changer

We have lands that add any color to your mana pool; such as City of Brass, Command Tower, Mana Confluence, and Spire of Industry. We've also had filter lands that let you add different colors of mana to your mana pool at the cost of a colorless mana. The latter tend to be pretty mediocre. Cascading Cataracts is everything you want from a land in a 5 color deck. In Commander, this card is a must have for any 4 or 5 color deck. For non-Commander formats, this card is also non-legendary, so you can run a full 4 copies. One of the great benefits of this card is that it is indestructible. No worries that your opponent will destroy this in Commander and keep you from playing your 5 color spell.

One of the great things about this card in Commander is that it only takes 5 colorless mana to activate, so your Sol Ring and Mana Vault can help you add 5 mana of any color to your mana pool if you have this card out.

Cascading Cataracts can also work well in multicolor decks that may want to cast color dominated spells. For example, it might be hard to cast Cryptic Command's triple blue mana cost, or Cruel Ultimatum's varied colored mana costs. But, with Cascading Cataracts, you can easily generate the necessary mana. Here are a few examples:
