New Finding Dory Clips Teases Familiar Friends and a New Character

Dory will swim into theaters and into our hearts next month, and in her new journey, the Pacific Regal Blue Tang will be searching for her family and a new home.

Along the way, Dory will be meeting some familiar faces, as well as new friends who will help her find her parents.

In new preview clips released by Disney Pixar, we get to see some of the old characters from Finding Nemo, as well as a new, disappearing friend in the upcoming movie – a grumpy seven-armed octopus named Hank (Ed O’Neill).

The first clip shows a scene reminding us of Finding Nemo. It shows Crush, voiced again by director Andrew Stanton, and his young son, Squirt, as well as Marlin (Albert Brooks).

The second clip also reminds me of Finding Nemo, when the young Clown Fish was taken from the sea and placed in a tank with other salt water species. However, with Dory here, she’s completely alone in an aquarium, and it looks like she’s been tagged for a study.

Pixar’s  Finding Dory reunites everyone’s favorite forgetful blue tang, Dory, with her friends Nemo and Marlin on a search for answers about her past. What can she remember? Who are her parents? And where did she learn to speak Whale? Directed by Andrew Stanton (“Finding Nemo,” “WALL•E”) and produced by Lindsey Collins (co-producer “WALL•E”).

We’ll see more new characters in Finding Dory when it hits theaters on June 17.
