New Dragon Ball Anime Project Revealed

Although Dragon Ball Super aired its finale this year, Toei Animation isn't done with the series. In fact, the company recently created a division focused on expanding Dragon Ball, and now the group's first anime project has been revealed.

If you're craving for more Dragon Ball anime, get ready because there's a new series coming, and it will get a lot of anime fans hyped.

A Weekly Shonen Jump source recently revealed one of the magazine's major announcements this week. According to the report, Yonkou Productions announced that Dragon Ball Heroes is getting an anime adaptation.

Dragon Ball Heroes is a popular video game franchise in Japan, and it's famous for having well-developed non-canon storylines. The premiere will go live on July 1 at a Dragon Ball event in Ion Lake Town, but before you get too hyped, note that the anime is said to be a PR title, a project used strictly to promote a separate title, so the anime is meant to promote the Dragon Ball Heroes video game and its latest arcs. The new anime is also expected to be a short series with an undetermined episode count.

Dragon Ball Super is available for streaming on Crunchyroll Saturdays at 7:15 p.m. CST. Toonami still airs the English dub of Dragon Ball Super on Adult Swim Saturdays at 9:30 p.m. It's also available to stream on FunimationNOW and Amazon. The upcoming Dragon Ball Super film will be released on December 14.
