New Doctor Who Trailer Features New Companion

It's only been three years since Peter Capaldi was announced as the new Doctor in Doctor Who, but he's now on the leg for his last season, and a new trailer has been released.

The short clip features Capaldi's Doctor walking alongside his new companion Billie (Pearl Mackie) and Nardole (Matt Lucas), and it also has Billie doing a voiceover calling the Doctor "The most dangerous man in the universe."

It's been previously rumored that the series is said to start over a "clean slate" — rather unfortunate seeing as Mackie has just got on as the new companion. The change was said to come because BBC wanted to return to the David Tennant era of Doctor Who where there is a dashing male lead and a young female companion.

I actually like the change that's come to the series, but if BBC thinks that a clean slate will get more kids interested in Doctor Who, then we'll just have to see what happens.

Capaldi's final season on Doctor Who is set to premiere on April 15.
