New Building Wrap Teases 2018 Release For Iron Fist Season Two

It might be everyone's least-favorite Netflix Marvel series but there is some anticipation for the second season of Iron Fist. After a much more well-received guest stint in Luke Cage season two, fans are actually looking forward to Danny Rand's status quo post-Defenders. Fans had assumed that the second season would debut in 2019 but if this building wrap means anything it looks like the series will be returning this year.

Fans around the SDCC area were able to spot a building with Iron Fist's signature insignia, with 2018 and Netflix seen below it. Unless they're just teasing a trailer, which would disappoint a lot of people, it seems like the series will be returning to Netflix this year.

The first season of Iron Fist was easily the weakest of Netflix's Marvel offerings, so there isn't a lot of hype for the second season despite it managing to get a number of fans. After Defenders forged a brighter path for the character - and a much darker one for Daredevil - it seems like we will be getting a more lighthearted take on Danny Rand, whilst keeping the street grit Netflix fans enjoy.

No official release date has been released. The first season can currently be streamed on Netflix.
