Neil deGrasse Tyson Weighs In On Star Wars: The Force Awakens

Renowned astrophysicist Neil deGrasse Tyson saw The Force Awakens, and promptly took to Twitter to point out the scientific inaccuracies. He had several tweets that pointed out incorrect things involving physics, such as the fact that BB-8 would skid "uncontrollably on sand" if the droid was really a smooth ball. And of course, Tyson had to criticize the Starkiller Base, saying that "If you were to suck all of a star's energy into your planet, your planet would vaporize." He elaborated, saying that "The energy in a Star is enough to destroy ten-thousand planets, not just a few here & there."

In @StarWars#TheForceAwakens, the Storm Troopers still run as though they're carrying a full load of poop in their diapers.

In @StarWars#TheForceAwakens, apparently Wookiees don't age, or they age much slower than human actors do.

You can tell that Neil deGrasse Tyson is trolling Star Wars, especially in some of his funnier Tweets. One of these Tweets says, "Storm Troopers still run as though they're carrying a full load of poop in their diapers." Clearly you can't take him too seriously, but there definitely are still a few interesting facts in his series of Star Wars-related Tweets.
