Neil deGrasse Tyson Comments on Game Of Thrones’ Science

Though a lot of fans enjoyed the seventh season of Game of Thrones, most found the series' physics a bit troubling, irritated by how quickly the characters moved across Westeros throughout the season, traveling at a pace that doesn't seem to fit within the popular fantasy epic's medieval confines.

Though he doesn't offer any comments on the speed of travel during this year's run of Game of Thrones, note astrophysicist, Neil deGrasse Tyson, has actually decided to offer up his opinion on the science of the show.

Taking to Twitter, Tyson's been offering up both criticism and praise for the physics of Game of Thrones, frowning on the idea of pulling a dragon out of a lake over a curved hill and dale while praising the "Bio-Physics" of the show's dragon design and the kinds of fire they spew out.

Check out Tyson's tweets down here:

Though the dragons don't really exist in the real world, Tyson seems to have compared the Game of Thrones dragons Drogon, Viserion, and Rheagal with what dragons would actually look like in real life. Taking note of the heat of different kinds of fire, the astrophysicist also supports the idea that blue fire of the fallen Viserion would be three times hotter compared to a live dragon's red flame.

Game of Thrones season 8 premieres sometime in 2018 or 2019.
