We just got the release date for the highly anticipated The Last of Us Part II, but at the same time, a leak has come out of the game, spoiling the entire story. To try and ‘combat' this, Naughty Dog has decided to release an official statement urging players to avoid spoilers and spoiling others.
Check it out:
We don't really know what these leaks entail, but by the sound of some comments, there are people complaining that Naughty Dog has put ‘agenda' over the story, and has ‘ruined the characters they loved.' I don't know about you, but I've read the same complaints about Star Wars: The Last Jedi, and I loved that movie. So maybe it won't be so bad, seeing as some of these complaints are really just biased against anything with an ‘agenda'.
As someone who just finished The Last of Us, I can say that story is one of the most fundamental elements in enjoying this franchise, so if you want to enjoy it, I suggest that you avoid spoilers at all cost. Then again, with some people actually enjoying spoiling things for people online, it's going to be a hard wait until June.
Five years after their dangerous journey across the post-pandemic United States, Ellie and Joel have settled down in Jackson, Wyoming. Living amongst a thriving community of survivors has allowed them peace and stability, despite the constant threat of the infected and other, more desperate survivors.
When a violent event disrupts that peace, Ellie embarks on a relentless journey to carry out justice and find closure. As she hunts those responsible one by one, she is confronted with the devastating physical and emotional repercussions of her actions.
The Last of Us Part II is set to come out on June 19.
