Mr. Robot is Coming Back for Season 3


Elliot Alderson is going back for another round against the Evil Corp. USA has greenlit a third season for Mr. Robot.

The announcement comes even though the second season is still currently ongoing. According to Deadline, USA Network has confirmed that Mr. Robot will return in 2017.

Interestingly, the announcement comes following the noticeable decline in viewers for season 2. Perhaps the studio has high hopes for the hacker drama, given that its credibility as one of the smartest series to date appears to still hold solid ground.

"We couldn't be more proud of Mr. Robot, a series that has pushed boundaries, captured the cultural zeitgeist, and been honored as one of the best dramas on television. Midway through its second season, Mr. Robot continues to break new ground and open up new opportunities for the network."

To date, Mr. Robot has received considerable acclaim. Lead actor Rami Malek has been nominated as best actor. The show itself has won two Golden Globes, a Peabody Award, a WGA Award, and recognitions in the Critics' Choice Awards.
