Warning: This article contains spoilers for Avengers: Infinity War
It looks like the excitement over Avengers: Infinity War's resulted in tragedy for one moviegoer.
According to a report by the Times of India, a moviegoer who was watching Infinity War was found dead after the screening of the film in Proddatur city in India. Peddapasupula Baasha, forty-three-years of age, was found unresponsive by cinema staff right after a screening of Avengers: Infinity War during the Proddatur's May Day celebrations.
Though the case is still ongoing, the police and medical personnel involved in the investigation of Baasha's death say that cardiac arrest is the most likely cause of his passing. The body of Baasha has been sent to the hospital for a post-mortem examination to clarify the case.
It certainly is tragic to hear that a moviegoer died while watching Infinity War. The film already has enough death and destruction on its own - Thanos killed many while collecting the Infinity Stones, and he killed many more after he gathered all six gems and wiped out half of the universe with a snap of his finger. Hearing that a moviegoer passed away while watching the film just adds another layer of tragedy to Infinity War's cinematic experience.
Avengers: Infinity War is currently screening in cinemas.
