Mortal Kombat Fan Art Imagines Ludi Lin As Liu Kang

It looks like people are already excited about the Mortal Kombat movie and its possible new Liu Kang that could be played by Power Rangers actor Ludi Lin. Now a new fan art imagines what Lin would look like as the Shaolin monk.

The awesome fan art was created by digital artist Bosslogic and it certainly gives Lin the classic Liu Kang look. Check it out below.

I don't know about you, but this looks a lot like Robin Shou, who originally played the video game character in the 1995 film and its 1997 sequel Mortal Kombat: Annihilation. However, it does confirm that Lin would be perfect for the role.

Although there is little doubt that Lin would be amazing as Liu Kang, people have joked about how his previous role might make them wary of Mortal Kombat. After all, Lin recently appeared in the Black Mirror episode Striking Vipers, where he played one of the video game characters that was used by two men so they could have virtual sex. Nevertheless, it doesn't take away any of Lin's skills as a martial artist.

It was previously reported that Lin is in negotiations with New Line Cinema to join the cast of Mortal Kombat. If he accepts the role, Lin will be the second cast member in the highly anticipated film. Joe Taslim of The Raid had previously been cast as Sub-Zero.

The Mortal Kombat film is expected to begin production in Australia later this year.
