Matthew Vaughn's adaptation of Mark Millar's Kingsman: The Secret Service was a huge hit when it came out, and this year, we are getting the sequel in the form of Kingsman: The Golden Circle. Some new images have popped up online thanks to Empire, and it gives us another good look at Eggsy (Taron Egerton) and Channing Tatum's character.

Vaughn has also commented on how he plans to make things ‘crazier' in this sequel. He says:

"There's an opportunity with Kingsman 2 to make it bigger and bolder and funnier and crazier…The church sequence, everyone wants something like that, but we've got action sequences which are just as original but different."

Granted the first movie was some sort of ode to classic spy films like James Bond, the Kingsman franchise seems to be embracing the whole super-spy genre, what with the cool gadgets and crazy, over-the-top villains.

Here's the synopsis:

Kingsman: The Secret Service introduced the world to Kingsman - an independent, international intelligence agency operating at the highest level of discretion, whose ultimate goal is to keep the world safe. In Kingsman: The Golden Circle, our heroes face a new challenge. When their headquarters are destroyed and the world is held hostage, their journey leads them to the discovery of an allied spy organization in the US called Statesman, dating back to the day they were both founded. In a new adventure that tests their agents' strength and wits to the limit, these two elite secret organizations band together to defeat a ruthless common enemy, in order to save the world, something that's becoming a bit of a habit for Eggsy...

Kingsman: The Golden Circle hits theaters Sept. 29.
