More DC Comics May Come to TV & Movies

There has been a current explosion of content for DC Comics beyond the traditional comics medium. We have ourselves a variety of series and movies featuring our favorite super heroes and villains onscreen.

And from the looks of it, things are just bound to get bigger and better from here. In a Q&A session at the investor conference (via The Wrap), Warner Bros. Chairman and CEO Kevin Tsujihara commented that the studio will be doubling its efforts in line with major franchises like DC Comics.

According to him, the mix of great movies and good TV has bolstered this approach, making it easier and far more appealing to create content. There's even some effort in direct-to-consumer efforts, since there is demand from the fans that also need t be quenched. Of course, he doesn't deny that there is still a big opportunity when it comes to the movie studios, especially for its international market.

"If you look at what's happening with the quality of the television product, the movies that are breaking through are the big franchises."

DC Comics fans are not the only ones to rejoice with this announcement. Tsujihara also touched on other big franchises, such as Harry Potter and the Lego movies.

Then again, the bigger question here is whether the content created is worth the fans' time and money, something that everyone knows is always the question for DC films.
