Mike Colter Teases Iron Fist's Role In 'Luke Cage' Season 2

Ever since a set photo revealed that Finn Jones' Danny Rand would be in Luke Cage season 2, fans immediately began hoping for a Heroes for Hire show. It looks like fans will be getting what they want since Luke Cage himself, Mike Colter, has confirmed that the show's second season would have the two characters team up for a while.

During an interview with Black Film, Colter confirmed that Luke and Danny will pair up for a while in season 2.

"We are teamed up for a bit. That's the whole point of bringing that flavor to it. I can see how this works. That's what good about it. We're giving people what they want."

Colter also brought up the positive fan reception Luke and Danny's relationship got during The Defenders. While the eight-episode mini-series didn't set up Heroes for Hire, it did do a good job at showing the two understand and even like each other. The show is still called Luke Cage though and we still don't know how many episodes Iron Fist will be in.

Some fans are also curious about Cage's relationship with Jessica Jones since the two did reconcile at during The Defenders. We even got a tease of the two having "coffee," but fans shouldn't expect to see that in Luke Cage season 2. Colter acknowledges that fans want to see it, but stated that season 2 will focus on the Heroes for Hire dynamic for now.

Luke Cage season 2 will come to Netflix sometime in 2018.
