Micheal Rooker On What Yondu Do If He Fought Thanos In Avengers: Infinity War

Centurian Ravager leader Yondu Udonta might have sacrificed himself to save Star-Lord (Chris Pratt) in Guardians of the Galaxy Volume 2, but if his character were still alive today, Michael Rooker would do take his best shot at Thanos in Avengers: Infinity War.

Speaking with fans at this year's Awesome Con in Washington DC (via Comic Book), the Marvel star decided to play around with the idea of what might happen if Yondu were alive during Infinity War. What would the Ravager and Guardian do to defeat Thanos? Would he try to flatten out the Mad Titan with his ship, or would he go with his Yaka Arrow?

"I'd shoot him with my arrow or something. When he's not looking! Preferably by surprise 'cause I wouldn't want to go head-to-head with him. He has the thing with the things on it!" Rooker explained.

Though Yondu's Yaka Arrow is a pretty neat weapon, Rooker admits that Yondu would probably still be no match for the power of Thanos amplified by the Infinity Stones in the gauntlet.

"Yeah, Yondu's arrow is pretty formidable, but you know, with those stones that's power. That's raw, awesome power he's got and he's gonna wield it very soon. I hope you all go to the movies and see," Rooker told fans at the convention.

Unfortunately, while Rooker's surprise attack seems very much like something Yondu would do in a fight against Thanos, the Ravager captain is permanently deceased and ccanot return to the Marvel Cinematic Universe outside of flashbacks.

Avengers: Infinity War premieres April 27.
