When Michael Pena made comments about a possible Ant-Man 3, fans everywhere went crazy. There was some speculation on the third film being part of Marvel's Phase Four set of films. It seems like Pena regrets making those comments, as the standout supporting actor from one of the MCU's funniest films has since made it clear that he isn't sure if there will be a third Ant-Man.

During an interview with USA Today, Pena stated that his comments were simply wishful thinking on his part. Pena enjoyed his time on the Ant-Man films and would like to be in another one, but had to clarify that he isn't a Marvel employee, so his word isn't final or anything like that.

"I don't work at Marvel. I'm not part of the studio. And I don't have the money to fund the movie. I wish I had $150 million around, you know. It's like, one of the supporting (Ant-Man) characters would say, ‘Yup, there's going to be a third (movie).' Like I have the information, more than Kevin (Feige). That would be really, really funny."

Disney had just released an official image of Ant-Man and The Wasp, the second film focusing on the shrinking hero, so a third film is probably not planned yet. None of the phase four films are and we will have to wait for the fourth Avengers film to find out what the studio has planned.

Marvel will release Ant-Man and The Wasp on July 6.
