Michael Keaton Is Only Signed On To Star In One MCU Film

Michael Keaton makes his debut as the Vulture in the upcoming Spider-Man: Homecoming movie, but if you have any hopes that he'll be back to make a Sinister Six group-up with five other villains—you may be out of luck.

According to the Hollywood Reporter, Keaton has only signed a one-picture deal with Sony and Marvel, so he's not really obligated to make a return to the franchise. I haven't actually seen Homecoming yet, but I was already pretty hopeful that the Vulture would survive by the end of the film. After Sony's Sinister Six movie fell through with the failure of Amazing Spider-Man 2, you'd think that they were still holding on for another go at the project.

As of now, we have news that Sony is planning to release movies containing a slew of Spider-Man villains including Kraven the Hunter and Mysterio. News has even come out that the villain of the Venom movie starring Tom Hardy will be none other than Cletus Kasady a.k.a. Carnage.

I don't know about you, but it seems that Sony is trying to milk the Spider-Man franchise too hard. I mean, seriously, who wants to see a Mysterio solo movie?

As of now, Sony's new Spider-verse kicks in with Spider-Man: Homecoming which hits theaters July 7. Venom is set to come out October of next year.
