This year's Transformers film may be titled The Last Knight but don't expect it to be the last. As previously reported, Paramount Pictures hired a team of writers to develop more Transformers films for the franchise, which includes the upcoming Bumblebee solo movie.
During a Transformers: The Last Knight preview event at London's Cineworld IMAX on Leicester Square, director Michael Bay announced that the writing team has written 14 new stories for the franchise that they've also outlined, Yahoo! UK reports. Of course, that doesn't mean that all fourteen films will be made into films but chances are, several of them will find their way into production.
Despite the films' negative critical reception, they've all been successful at the box office (Thanks, China!), so it's not surprising that Michael Bay's Transformers franchise will continue making films no matter how mediocre and brainless their stories are.
Transformers: The Last Knight is set to release in theaters on June 23, 2017.
