Metal Gear Solid Creator Hideo Kojima Reunites With Norman Reedus and Guillermo del Toro

Remember the Konami Silent Hills game that Guillermo del Toro and Hideo Kojima were working on that got canceled last year? It looks like the team is bringing that project to life with everything but the title. Earlier this week, The Walking Dead star Norman Reedus, who also part of the Silent Hills project, met up with the legendary Japanese game developer for a photo:

And last night, director Guillermo del Toro made this Tweet:

It looks like they're planning to release the spiritual successor to Silent Hills under Kojima's company. It'll probably take a while to get del Toro and Reedus on board, especially after del Toro made this comment to the press right after the game's cancellation:

"I have proven to be the albatross of video games...I joined THQ [to make a game calledInsane] and THQ went broke. I joined [Metal Gear Solidcreator Hideo] Kojima [to makeSilent Hills] and Kojima leaves Konami, so I have decided that in order not to destroy anyone else's life, I will never again get involved in video games. Otherwise, I'll work with someone and his house would explode or something, you know?"

You can read about Del Toro's thoughts about the canceled project here. We'll let you know if del Toro makes a move on this project, and I'd be excited to see it actually come to life.
