Meet Sam Bridges in New Cinematic Trailer for Death Stranding

Hideo Kojima is moving on from Metal Gear Solid to start his own game company, and a lot of people are excited about Kojima Productions' Death Stranding. The game is set to release in November, and Playstation has just dropped a new cinematic trailer introducing us to Norman Reedus' Sam Bridges.

While the overall plot of the series is still a mystery, we've been able to connect some dots based on the previews that we've seen for the game. We know that the world exists in some kind of apocalyptic wasteland with aliens, and our main character Sam is some kind of delivery man. Based on what we see in the trailer, we get a glimpse of some of the gameplay, including the enemies, what kind of weapons they have, and the mechanic of Sam losing items the more he gets hit.

It's also interesting that Sam's job is to ‘reconnect' society, seeing that his name is literally "bridges" and he also has "Porter" (as in transporter) as his middle name.

Death Stranding looks amazing, and a lot of people are hooked on the mysterious world that Hideo Kojima is bringing to life. Hopefully, everything makes sense toward the end, because I would gate for the game to finish and we would be just as confused as to when it started. I mean, it's hard enough already trying to fully grasp the lore of Metal Gear.

Catch Death Stranding when it becomes available for PS4 on Nov. 8.
