McDonald’s Is Bringing Back Szechuan Sauce This Year For Rick and Morty Fans

It looks like McDonalds is planning to bring Rick and Morty fans even more Szechuan Sauce next year.

Schechuan Sauce was part of a joke in the premiere episode of the third season of Justin Roiland and Dan Harmon's adult animated science fiction cartoon, and the demand for the condiment became so high that McDonalds had the sauce for a limited run.

Unfortunately, the company underestimated how many Rick and Morty fans wanted the sauce and a lot of Mcdonald's outlets ran short of the sauce in an incredible short amount of time, leading to a huge backlash from fans.

According to Polygon, McDonald's will be releasing 20 million Szechuan Sauc packs to prevent shortages, though they're going to stop at that number. Still, it's a pretty great improvement from the very few packets that were being handed out last year.

Rick and Morty season 4 is expected to arrive sometime in late 2019.
