Max Von Sydow Reportedly Confirmed as Boba Fett in Star Wars: The Force Awakens

A couple of days ago, we heard that the second standalone film will reportedly center on Boba Fett's origin story. Now, Moviepilot is pointing to a reliable source who has confirmed Max Von Sydow's character in Star Wars: The Force Awakens, and it's none other than the franchise's favorite bounty hunter, Boba Fett!

The site said that this is from the same source who confirmed that Kylo Ren is being played by Adam Driver. According to the site, the source states that the reveal will show up later in the third act, and connect to the events after the Battle of Jakku. The site went on to way that his identity is concealed by cybernetic modification, and that he won't be wearing the Mandolorian armor until his true identity is unveiled. The cybernetics are reportedly due to the damage done to his body by the Sarlaac.

But take this as a rumor for now until Lucasfilm and Disney officially confirms his role.
